Time flies doesn't it! A lot has happened since then. I hate to say it but I let me weight go back up and got up to 219. I hate that I let that happen. I can give you all excuses, I sold my house, moved in with my parents, had a long commute to work and no time to exercise, I wasn't in total control of all the meals at my moms house etc. But ultimately I just stop working on myself. I recently went on a diet bet and an down to 212 or so, give or take a days fluctuation. I can't wait to get back to my last blog post weight. Oh, I looked so much better then.

In June 2015 we moved from Southern California to Vancouver, WA. I haven't ever lived anywhere but Southern California so the weather will be fun to get used to. It rains a lot here so they all say but it's really green an beautiful because of it. The summer is almost over and the summer has been dry, hot and sunny. I have been told that it's not usually so hot and sunny here. I've enjoyed it.

The kids are going to start school this week on 9/2. Colin will be going in to 2nd grade and Kadence will be going into Kindergarten. No more babies, now I have two big kids. Insert sad face mommy here. haha I will be starting a job at a preschool part time teaching 3 year olds so that should be an adventure. I have been looking at Pinterest for inspiration for the classroom.

I have also recently entered the world of Essential Oils and am loving them so far. I find myself hearing someone say they have an ailment of some kind and thinking what kind of oil they could use to help aid them in feeling better or relief. I am slowing getting rid of harmful chemical laden household products and trading them out for homemade natural ingredient products. There is so much to learn, but it's worth it if I can utilize natural products instead of synthetic ones.

My favorite essential oils right now are Thieves and Lavender. The cold and flu season is coming and Thieves well help with a having a healthy immune system and Lavender has been really helpful in calming me down and night and getting a better nights rest. These are very important since school will be starting soon and I want to make sure I'm healthy and rested.

Have you entered the world of essential oils? Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-57203669078257038162013-08-24T19:31:00.002-07:002013-08-24T19:31:30.832-07:00Why Hello ThereHello, I am still alive and have not fallen off the healthy band wagon. I weighed in this morning at 183.4. I'm at my lowest weight I can ever remember. I don't even know what age I passed this weight up, but it was a long time ago. Probably middle school. It feels awesome too. I did an obstacle course 5k last weekend called Foam Fest. It was my second obstacle course 5k and probably not my last. I do have to say that I liked the Hero Rush 5k better, but it was still fun. This is me before the race.
We went on a week vacation up the coast of California and into Oregon in June. We went to the redwoods in Crescent City, Monterey, and Medford Oregon on our trip. Here is a picture of the redwood tree we drove through. My daughter didn't want to cooperate during the picture and got we got this funny picture of my face. LOL
I really need to get back on here more often and share what is going on in my life. For now that is all I have time for.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-84126388060595699362013-05-04T15:45:00.003-07:002013-05-04T15:45:59.127-07:00What's new?Once again it's been awhile since I updated on the blog. Nothing to spectacular to report. Life has been good. I participated in a Dietbet and succeeded by .2 pounds. I bet $35 and won $45.88 so it was pretty nice to win. I decided to join another one so that it would help keep me on track and the first week I wasn't really committed and now it has been two weeks and I am only down 2 pounds. I need to lose 7.5 to make my bet. We shall see. Oh and my current weight is about 186.

My husband and I joined the gym on 4/13/13. The one we joined hadn't even opened yet, but opened on 4/20/13 and we have been going 3 times a week. We went today and took a body pump class and boy did it give quite the workout. I am sure I will be feeling over the next few days.

We went shopping last night while waiting for my new glasses to be ready and I bought one shirt. My husband had gotten me a gift card for a store called Torrid not realizing that my weight loss would soon make it impossible to buy anything from the store. The smallest clothes they have seem to be to big for me now. I could probably still buy pants there for now. I managed to find one lace tank top in size 0 of the plus sizes. It's a nice problem to have (not being able to buy clothes in that store anymore) but I still have about $36 to spend there.

I have another 5k set up for 6/1 and then an obstacle course 5k on 8/17. I am not really improving any on the running front, but it good cardio for me. Now that I have the gym I can focus on the weights and toning portion. There is also a pool, sauna and steam room there so that is a great bonus.

Our next camping trip is scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. We are taking our camper to my parents house and spending the weekend there. It should be fun. We are also trying to take a camping/driving vacation up the coast of California in June. Maybe go to see Hearst Caslte, Winchester house, Redwood forest and maybe see the husbands sisters family in Oregon.

I guess that is about all for now.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-40878016066697705082013-04-10T21:20:00.001-07:002013-04-10T21:20:44.579-07:00Fitbloggin GiveawayThere is a really awesome Fitbloggin giveaway going on at http://growsoulbeautiful.com/fitbloggin-2013-conference-a-giveaway/. If you are interested in going to Fitbloggin in Oregon in June of this year, here is your chance to win a ticket.

I think it would be awesome to go to Fitbloggin. So much inspiration from all those around you. Such a great multitude of knowledge too. Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-10402818990159017792013-03-02T16:43:00.001-08:002013-03-02T16:43:33.323-08:00Time FliesI missed the whole month of February? Wow. Guess I was just living life and not spending copious amounts of time online. We went camping twice in February, once to Mountain Lakes and once to Rancho Jurupa Park. We had a lot of fun at both places. We even brought the bikes to Rancho Jurupa Park.

We signed up for a 5k taking place on 3/30 so I started my run/walk exercise again. The neighbor a few houses away actually came over one night and asked for some advice on how to get started. Since I haven't done any run/walking training for awhile so I am back to the beginning. I probably stopped around the holidays and when it started getting cold and dark in the mornings. The neighbor and I went out on Tuesday and Thursday together and I am actually coaching him. The family and I went out for a run today. It felt good to get back out there and feel like I actually am accomplishing something. I have a month to train before the 5k. I hope to add in some strength training too. I really have my eye on a 5k obstacle course called Foam Fest in August, but the Southern California area doesn't have a location yet so I don't know if I'll be able to do it or not. I need to strength train if I hope to be any good at it. I would love to get rid of some of my sagging arms. I might be able to take flight with them so are so floppy. Not a pretty site.

I am currently at 192.4. I have been down to 188.6. Those few pounds were easy to come back. The 188.6 only lasted about a day and it seems my body is quite happy around 192. I am NOT happy with this weight though. I have work to do and I just need to buckle down and do it. The Shrinking Jeans challenge ended and I didn't even check in on the last weigh in because I started at 194.6 I think, got down to the 188.6 and then came back to the 192.4. Turns out I lost 2 pounds during the challenge. Pretty sad. I only have myself to blame though. A cookie here or there and it adds up. I must change this behavior....

I CAN DO IT!Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-23093037368909362982013-01-26T15:46:00.001-08:002013-01-26T15:46:37.341-08:00I'm here...really I am!I don't mean to be a bad blogger, but I guess I am.

We went camping last weekend to Lake Skinner and had a pretty good time. The weather was great. My son had a little cough that was problematic at night, but overall it was a good time. My parents took their 5th wheel out too and we cooked all but one thing in her trailer. However all the dishes were cleaned in our since their water heather is not working right now.

I forgot to post my week 2 weigh in for the shrinking jeans challenge. It was 192 I think. This last one was 190.2 I think. I have them written down at work and not at home. So I'm doing good on my weight loss. My water intake is getting better, but not 100% yet. My exercise is not going well. I was super busy at work this past week and had no time for anything. I need to work on getting the exercise in and toning.

We bought a masticating juicer off of Amazon and it arrived on Friday. We made juice last night and this morning too. The kids have been asking for fresh apple juice all day. We are going to try to juice at least once a day to get in some good micro-nutrients. We watched the move "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" this past week and it makes us want to juice for all sorts of good heath benefits. We try and east pretty healthy these days overall so the addition of juicing will only help us.

Okay I must cut this short, my daughter needs a diaper change.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-47017934919228456022013-01-12T17:34:00.001-08:002013-01-12T17:34:46.702-08:00Success and other NewsI managed to get my 3 days of walking in at work and I also took a walk today with the family. I was successful at getting my 8 glasses of water in on Thursday and Friday. I decided to bring in a pitcher to fill up with water and keep at my desk. I would then have no excuse not to drink the water. Well it worked like a charm. Today however, I haven't drank very much. I'm home and out and about and such and just didn't get it down. I have drank about 4 out of 8 today.

The exciting news in life right now is that two weeks ago we bought our first travel trailer! We didn't get to pick it up until last weekend though. We had to go through a class to tell us all about the unit and how to work things and also get something done to the car for brakes on the trailer. It's a Coleman, Dutchmen 15' with bunks and it's just so cute. We go on our first camping trip next weekend, but we have already stayed in the trailer. We actually spent the night in the trailer the day after we brought it home. The kids were so excited to stay in the trailer, and in reality, so were we. It was fun. We haven't decided where to go yet, but in the next couple of days we will figure it out. We look forward to having many adventures in our trailer.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-50217091926543796382013-01-09T18:36:00.003-08:002013-01-09T18:36:49.374-08:00Shrinking Jeans New Years Weight Loss Challenge Week 1 updateHello, so it's the first weigh in of the Shrinking Jeans Weight loss Challenge and I have lost weight this week.

Initial Weight: 194.2

This week: 192.6

Loss of 1.6 pounds

Pretty good for not really working on losing the first few days of this challenge. I have gotten better the last few days and it shows in the numbers. I still have a lot of work to do on drinking enough water and getting in my exercise, but my food is doing good.

I managed to get in a walk during work today and hope to the next two days as well. It's expected to rain tomorrow so we shall see. I am going to go do some bicep and tricep work with some dumbells and maybe a few squats. It's not much, but it's something. I hope everything is doing well and this first week shows some great losses.

Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-89964339629246324252013-01-05T20:02:00.001-08:002013-01-05T20:02:47.402-08:00New Years Challenge GoalsThe Shrinking Jeans gals have put up a challenge to create some goals for this 8 week challenge. So here goes.

1. Exercise at least 2 days a week with the weight machine or an exercise video.

2. Walk on break (at work) at least 3 days a week.

3. Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day.

4. Lose 10 pounds. 15 would be ideal for 8 weeks.

5. Keep a log of my food eating as few processed foods as possible.

I think those are pretty decent goals for the challenge. I have really been having a hard time drinking enough water. I sometimes only get in 2-3 glasses, which I know is awful, but that is why it's on the list. Exercise has also been pretty non existent. I have much work to do if I want to get back to losing weight instead of just maintaining. From here on out, it's all uncharted territory. I can't remember the last time I was even under 200 pounds. High school? Middle School? I don't remember! The fact that I have maintained around the 195 mark for this many months is pretty great. I think that may be why I haven't lost any more weight. It's kind of scary...can I do this. Can I get lower and how much lower is my ideal weight? Will I be able to tighten up the skin so isn't such a nuisance? It's scary and exciting at the same time. I look forward to seeing what I can accomplish in the next 8 weeks and beyond.

Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-86600615055888718672012-12-30T08:03:00.000-08:002012-12-30T08:03:24.852-08:00I found a challenge! So yesterday I said I might need to find a challenge to join to help keep my self accountable to losing weight and exercise. Well I was on facebook and saw one starting Jan. 1st that is being hosted by the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans. You have to sign up by tonight in order to participate though.

I think is just the thing I need in order to jump start the weight loss again. Maybe you will join me. I don't have a partner for the challenge, but they are going to pair me up with someone. Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-67923489429705974762012-12-29T13:10:00.001-08:002012-12-29T13:10:17.610-08:002012 is coming to an endWow, has it really been that long since I posted something. Life is good. Thanksgiving was at my aunts house and there were about 25 people there. It was quite nice to have so many of my family members there. Christmas was great as well. We had about 5 Christmas celebrations this year. The first was my husbands Dad side of the family in Lake Arrowhead two weeks before Christmas. The week before Christmas was my husbands moms side of the family. Then we had husbands parents/ sister/ brother Christmas, then "our" Christmas on Christmas eve and then the rest of my family on Christmas day. We went to my parents house on Christmas Eve and spent the night. That has been the tradition for awhile now. We opened "our" family presents on Christmas Eve before we went to my parents and then the whole rest of the family on Christmas day. The kids were really spoiled this year. Lots of fun stuff.

I have not fallen off of the wagon, I have maintained my loss. I hover between 193 and 196. I don't check that often. I get on the scale every once in awhile just to make sure I haven't gone back over the 200 mark, which I haven't at all. I have slacked completely on the exercise front. The cold came and I started working an earlier shift at work so it's now dark in the morning. I have to leave the house by 7am to get the kids to daycare and have no time to run/walk now. My goal for the new year is to start the exercise back up. Use the cross bow like machine I got from a friend and buckle down and start losing again. Maybe I need to find a challenge to help keep my accountable. Maybe just make one up in my own head and act as if others are in on it and counting on me. We shall see.

New years eve I have to work half a day and then we are going over to my parents to ring in the new year. We will spend the night there again and spend most of New Years Day with them too. We play games and snack and watch the parade in the background and have an overall relaxing fun time together. I'll be sure to post back in a few days and keep up on blogging. I do read all the blogs I was reading before I just don't ever get around to posting here. I will try to do better. It's good to keep myself accountable.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-15057814264499483482012-10-20T09:30:00.003-07:002012-10-20T09:30:31.130-07:00UpdateTime sure does fly by. I am still hovering around the same weight. Still below 200, but not really going much lower yet, averaging about 196-197. I just haven't been able to stop eating all the goodies that people have been providing at work. I also still haven't gotten myself into a work out routine other than my run/walks. My inlaws are still at my house. Well actually they just left for Oregon for almost 2 weeks. They will then be back down for a few days before they go back to Thailand. I am looking forward to putting my daughter back in her room. She has without fail come into our room every night since the inlaws have been here.

My husband is running a 10k tomorrow with two of his friends. He isn't going to get much sleep though. He has to work until about midnight tonight and then drive home and hopefully get in bed by about 1:30am only to have to get up at 5am to get ready to leave for the race which starts at 7:30 about an hour away. He has to pick up his race packet in the morning too. He is going to be one tired guy tomorrow.

Halloween is just around the corner and my son will be buzz lightyear and my daughter a Giraffe I am going to be a Bee this year. The place I work at is really big on dressing up for Halloween. They are even taking us out to lunch at Sizzler and have a judging contest of our outfits. I have never worked anywhere that has made this big a deal out of Halloween. It should be fun. I'll have to post pictures after Halloween.
Not much else going on around here. Until next time...Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-40200302723074891752012-09-28T20:30:00.000-07:002012-09-28T20:30:04.899-07:00I'm alive!I haven't fallen off the face of the earth or the health wagon. I am still sitting at between 195-199. I haven't lost any more nor have I really tried. Life has been busy and my in-laws are staying with us until 11/6. They arrived on 9/7 from Thailand. They will be spend a weekend in the desert and about 10 days in Oregon/Washington otherwise they are staying with us. It's been difficult on the sleeping arrangements. They took my daughters room and she is staying in my sons room. She starts out in his room and then sometime in the night she ends up in our bed. Every night since they arrived she has come into our bed without fail. It's getting old and we still have a long way to go.

I completed the Color Me Rad 5k at Fontana Speedway a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot of fun.
I am sitting outside listening to my kids giggle and play on the little child's porch swing. It's just so precious to hear my daughter giggle. I am so blessed to have two great kids. Sometimes I don't really use my time wisely when I am off work and home with them. I have to remember that time goes by so fast and they are only this young once. I think I am going to put them in the jogging stroller tomorrow morning while my husband sleeps and take them to the park. It will be good exercise for me as well fun for them.

We are going to go to the Harvest Crusade at Angels stadium on Sunday. Mercy Me and Jeremy Camp are supposed to be preforming. Should be a nice family outing after Church.

This week has gone well. I am still on track. I haven't been as strict about things this week, but doing pretty good. I saw 197 on the scale on Thursday morning before my run and 195 after my run. It's encouraging seeing a lower number. I just need to get a little more disciplined and I'll be back on the road to actually losing weight and not maintaining it.

This coming week I hope to actually start using my little in home work out equipment I bought off of a friend a few months ago. Prove to my husband it wasn't a waste of money and space since it's in our livingroom. haha.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-55145385736813500142012-08-16T21:14:00.000-07:002012-08-16T21:14:54.139-07:00Time flysWell hello there little blog. It's been a few weeks since I last posted. There hasn't been anything special going on lately. I ran/walked a 5k on 8/5 pushing my two kids in a stroller. It was at the OC Fair grounds and after the race we stayed and went to the fair. It was a pretty good day. I haven't lost any more weight in the last few weeks, but I haven't gained any either. I weighed on Tuesday after my run/walk and the scale showed 197. I keep telling myself I'm going to get back at it and I just don't fully commit to eating and exercise the way that I should in order to lose. It's been extremely hot here lately and it doesn't help my motivation to work out. BUT, I will not stop trying. I just need to give myself a pep talk. Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-9125143881238404052012-07-23T17:50:00.000-07:002012-07-23T17:50:04.450-07:00Great weekend!I have been a little MIA haven't I. I just got home from my family reunion in New Mexico. We left on Thursday about 2pm and drove to Benson, AZ. We stayed the night and then drove the rest of the way into Mimbres, NM. I got to see some family who lives in Virginia and Texas that I haven't seen for many years. It was so beautiful there. I will have to down load the pictures soon and add them. For now I have added the one below of all of us after Church on Sunday. We bring benches out from the lodge and put them on the basketball court so we can have Church under the trees.

There were about 65-70 famiily members in attendance, but there were many extended family members that weren't there that I wished would have come, but I know it's hard having young kids. Hopefully there will be a better turn out next time.

I haven't been losing any more weight, just maintaining lately. I plan to start trying to lose some more again this week. Vacation is over and I can refocus on weight loss and healthy living.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-42901248733448594302012-07-07T19:23:00.000-07:002012-07-07T19:23:17.228-07:00Hello ThereHello there little blog, It's been awhile since I wrote. Since the last time I completed the Hero Rush 5k Fire Fighter themed obstacle course with my husband and I had many bruises to show for it. There were 19 obstacles with a lot of water too. It was a lot of fun and a really cool medal to show for it. I ordered some pictures at the race hoping there were some good ones, but I don't have them yet. I will have to add them later.

The 4th of July was a pretty nice day. We had the family over to our house and BBQ'd some hot dogs and burgers. We also had some potato salad, fruit salad, chips, and watermelon. We had banana pudding for dessert. The kids played in the pool and the adults played a game. Then that night we just went out to the front yard and watched the fireworks all the neighborhood people set off. It's legal where we live to buy and set them off. The last two years we weren't around for all the good stuff that happens just in our neighborhood. We had no idea.

I was 198 this morning so no real big losses in the last two weeks, but I have been able to hold steady under 200 which is really nice. I finally broke down and bought some more jeans. I kept putting it off because I don't really want to buy to many things when I hope to keep going lower and lower. But my jeans were super baggy and unattractive. I actually managed to squeeze into some stretch 14's today. If they weren't stretchy i wouldn't have fit into them, but it was nice to actually fit into them. They fit like a glove though. Pretty tight so it will encourage me to lose some more weight. We are going on vacation in two weeks to my family reunion. I am looking forward to going to it a lot smaller than I was last time.

I hope you all are doing well and that you had a nice 4th of July.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-90564979190415872452012-06-24T15:53:00.000-07:002012-08-16T19:45:32.853-07:00What a busy week! This week has been crazy busy. My mother had some back surgery on Monday. We had Vacation Bible School (VBS) at church Monday-Friday. And I had a stomach bug on Tuesday afternoon/evening. I lost 3 pounds overnight with the stomach bug, but put it back on the rest of the week. I am the same this week. 199.6. I actually saw 197 after I was sick, but I knew it wouldn't last.

Yesterday we did a 5k called Little Heart Warriors. It was for a non profit organization for kids born with congenital heart defects. It was their first time doing a 5k and the organizer was hoping she would get at least 150 people to participate and it turns out there was about 450 people there. It was a great success for the non profit organization. My husband even got 3rd place overall. How great is that?! I ran/walked it with the stroller and my friend and finished in about 41:52. I'm pretty pleased with that.

After the 5k we went shopping for a birthday present for an 8 year old girl, went home cleaned up and then went to the birthday party about and hour away. Then after the party we went to my mothers house who lives close to the party and brought dinner over. We wanted to see how my mom was doing after her surgery. She is doing quite well by the way.

Today we went to Church and then there was a BBQ potluck afterwards to end the VBS week. We will be taking a dip in the pool soon and then just relax for the evening. I am looking forward to a much more relaxed week this week.

Next weekend is Hero Rush 5k Fire Fighter based themed obstacle course. I'm scared, but excited about it. I haven't strength trained like I should have, but it will be fun either way. Have a great week everyone.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-18622238785657669702012-06-17T15:04:00.001-07:002012-06-17T15:04:33.675-07:00I have arrived!Happy Fathers Day! We had a great day yesterday with my hubby. We went to the beach and rode our bikes about 12 miles total. We spent time hanging out at the beach so the kids could play in the sand, we walked the shops and went on a harbor cruise and saw all the really cool houses and had dinner on the way home. Today was Church and then home for a nap. We are going to dinner with my parents tonight. A very nice weekend indeed.

So I got up this morning and the number on the scale read 201.2. So what do you do when the scale doesn't show you what you want to see....you do some exercise. In my case I went out for a run/ walk. I walked for about 5 minutes and then did (9) 1 minute run, 1 minute walk intervals with a 5 minutes cool down. I came home and stepped on the scale about 8 times finagling it in different areas until it showed me what I wanted to see.

It will be great when I can just step on the scale the first time and see the 1 for the first number, but I said I was going to get to Onederland this week and I did. At one point in all the on and off scale times this morning it said 199 even. I didn't think it right to claim that one yet. haha. Soon though. I will be lower than that.

Gotta go...the kids are having a melt down.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-6482135607442012462012-06-10T18:37:00.000-07:002012-06-10T18:37:10.668-07:00It's been a good weekHello, I am doing pretty good at getting in my 3 run/walks during the week, but not any other form of exercise. I must get going on that. Despite my lack of extended exercise I did lose weight this week.

Last week weight: 203.6
This week weight: 201
Slow close to onederland. If I'm consistent this week I should see a 1 in the first number place by next Sunday. I am so excited about this. It's gonna be a great week!Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-87575385213069817922012-06-04T19:25:00.001-07:002012-06-04T19:25:32.873-07:00Final RFSC and GFCTC updateWell this last week has involved a lot more eating out than normal. I was taken to lunch twice this last week and then on Saturday ate more than normal. It's my own fault that I ate it but it means that I didn't finish the challenge with a big loss. I only have a .4 pound loss for the week. So here are my overall stats for each challenge.

RFSC start weight: 213.4 (total challenge loss 9.8 pounds)
GFCTC start weight: 214 (total challenge loss 10.4 pounds)
Final weight: 203.6

I wanted to lose 20 pounds in each of these challenges, but at least I lost 10. I am going in the right direction and so close to Onederland it hurts.

I got in 3 run/walks this week, but that is all. I really need to start adding in the strength training. Hero Rush is at the end of the month and will require me to have more muscles to get through the obstacles.

On to my weekend. It was a busy Saturday. It started with a 5k for my husband, it was a down hill course and he finished in just over 20 minutes. WOW! His quads were hurting after it though. Then it was breakfast, home to make a grocery list for the week, back out for groceries. Then we rushed home and left for a movie. We saw the Avengers. It was a good super hero movie. We then had lunch and got a gift certificate for a wedding reception we went to in Long Beach. It was quite the day. Sunday involved Church and a graduation celebration and then relaxing afterwards.

My new job is going well. Every day is a different issue to deal with, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. I am definitely busy everyday. That is such a change from my old job.

I hope every one did well with the challenge and good luck with continued success in your journey's.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-27429990348361869612012-05-29T06:41:00.003-07:002012-05-29T06:41:54.382-07:00RFSC wk 9 and GFCTC wk 7 updateHello All, Sorry this is a day late. I was out of town all weekend.

Last week: 205.6
This week: 204
Loss: 1.6

I was sick all week so I didn't get my runs in, but I walked around my parents house a lot this weekend. A lot of my extended family on my moms side got together and had a campout at my moms. It was fun, but I did eat a lot more than I normally eat this weekend. I will have to be mindful of that this week and work harder to get my exercise in. The challenges are both in their final week and I want to end strong. I hope everyone had a great long weekend and good luck in this final week of the challenge.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-87493307881270279952012-05-21T19:34:00.000-07:002012-05-21T19:34:44.585-07:00RFSC Wk 8 and GFCTC wk 6 UpdateHello everyone, It was another successful week. I got in 3 runs this last week. I still haven't managed to get in the weight training or any other type of exercise, but at least I'm keeping up on the running.

Last week: 206.6
This week: 205.6
Loss this week: 1 pound

I'm not sure how this week will go. I thought I might be getting sick yesterday and today it has increased and I am now SICK. I hope it is short lived and over by this weekend. We are going out of town this weekend and I really want to feel good.

We had my kids birthday party this weekend. It was a luau theme and it turned out really well. My kids 2 & 4 had a great time and I think everyone who came had a great time too. Maybe one day I'll actually get some pictures up.

My head hurts so that is all I can say today. Have a great week.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-82937950719419790172012-05-14T19:22:00.000-07:002012-05-14T19:22:57.747-07:00RFSC Wk 7 and GFCTC wk 5 UpdateHello Everyone, I hope all you moms out there had a great Mothers day. I know I did. We celebrated on Saturday because my husband had to work Sunday. We bought me a dress, sweater, shirt and shoes for the new job. We had lunch and went to see the Hunger Games too. Yesterday was Church and relaxing.

My new job has kept me busy this last week and not allowed me to snack regularly like I have been in the few weeks prior to the new job. I believe that is the reason I actually LOST weight this week. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I was over snacking, but I was having a nut bar everyday which can pack on the calories pretty quickly.

Last Weight: 208.2
Current Weight: 206.6
Loss: 1.6

So, Wahoo, I actually lost this week. Finally, past that slump. I hope to continue downward now. I ate a little to freely over the weekend, but I'm back on track now.

I ran/walked another 5k over the weekend. The time was just over 43 minutes. My next 5k will be the Shrinking Jeans Run the Hood virtual 5k on 5/28 and then we will do the Hero Rush 5k obstacle course on 6/30. I really need to start working on my strength training for the obstacle course. I am really lacking in upper body strength.Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8531069837859709520.post-41972577155683529472012-05-07T18:58:00.003-07:002012-05-07T18:58:42.841-07:00RFSC wk 6 and GFCTC wk 4 updateNothing to report on the weight loss front this week either. I am actually up .2 pounds for the week. I am tired of this plateau for the last 3 weeks. I am 9 pounds away from "one"derland and it sucks to be in a plateau. Needless to say, my goals for next week are the same....LOSE WEIGHT.

I got in two 30 min run/walks this week as well as a 5k on Sunday. I ran/walked the OC Wahoo 5k. It ended up being less than 3.1 miles. According to my husbands gps is was closer to being 2.7 miles which we completed in 38:33. I am going to get up and do my run/walk tomorrow.

I added some dairy back into my food plan this weekend. It was nice to be able to have more food options.

I started my new job today. I didn't do anything really, just a lot of listening and watching. I will sit down and really start learning stuff tomorrow. They didn't even have my computer set up, and probably won't until Wednesday. Weird!

I hope everyone else is doing better with their weight loss than I am. Good luck this week. Make it count!Denisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11416791510781950824noreply@blogger.com4
