I managed to get in a workout after work today. I did a Wii Active 2 workout. It wasn't actually very long, but it's a start. It involved running in place, squats, crunches, stuff with resistance bands and a mini step kickboxing segment. I am planning on getting in a run tomorrow after work. Now I just need to work on eating better and smaller portions and I'll be on my way to losing weight this week.
I am going to join another challenge that starts on April 9th and goes until June 4th. 8 weeks total and it's called Get Fit Coast to Coast. This challenge is different in that there is a $10 buy in to do it. The money will go to the person who loses the highest percentage of body weight. Nothing motivates like cold hard cash. I think it will really help push me to do my best. I spend $10 on stupid stuff it might as well go to something health related.
Good luck with your challenge, money does talk!
ReplyDeleteI have GOT to start doing some kind of toning-I just.don't.like.it. :)
ReplyDeleteBut that Wii workout sounds like fun.
Maybe I'll get my little dumb bells and turn the music on! :)

I know what you mean about toning. I haven't done it and I need to. I really need to tone the upper arms. ugh!
DeleteLong it doesn't have to be. Just consistent. 15 minutes a day. 20 minutes 5x a week. 30 minutes 3 or 4 times a week. If it's tough and gets you moving and sweating, it reaps health rewards. So, keep at it, girl!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd double-check that challenge. I'm always suspicious of moolah related stuff unless I know it's legit. Like I'm well-acquainted for a while with the blogger or it's a creditable fitness or or company. Cause, honestly, anyone can make up a money challenge, create a fakey blog for a made-up challenger, and tada, the fake challenger wins and gets the money. How do you know it was a real challenger that wins? Anyway, as long as you trust the blogger running it...but a heads up.
On we go...trying to make the health grow!
