SCC Week 1 Update

I must admit I really didn't focus on my goals this week.  I only got in one run this week and no other exercise.  I hope that this week I will get more sleep and be able to focus more on my exercise.

My goals this week are to:
Drink 64 ounces of water a day.
Exercise 4 days (3 runs and at least one other workout)
Eat more fruits and veggies.

Weight last week: 222
My weight today was 218.8

This isn't as great a loss as it seems.  My initial weigh in last week was 2 pounds higher than I had been holding at.  It was the day after new years  where I had eaten more than normal.  So I'll take the 1.2 pound loss that I really think happened this week.

I really didn't focus on weight loss this week.  I had other things on my mind with my son's coughing fits and such.  We took him to urgent care (3.5 hours) on Friday morning and he was diagnosed with Pneumonia and given a prescription for antibiotics.  Well he threw up 3 out of 5 times taking it so Saturday night my husband took him back to urgent care(3 hours) to see if we could get another antibiotic prescription.  He came home with an anti nausea medicine and another antibiotic prescription just in case.  My son had a pretty good night sleep and a great 3 hour nap today.  He isn't coughing near as much as he was and it seems that the antibiotics are kicking in.  I hope it clears it up this time.  It's exhausting having a chronic coughing child who doesn't really understand why he is coughing so much.  He also doesn't cover his mouth when he coughs and I feel like I might be getting sick.  I hope it's just sinus allergy stuff but who knows.

Sorry this isn't very inspired tonight, but I just don't have it in me.  I hope you all have a great week.

  1. I'm so sorry your son is so sick, heres hoping he gets better super speedy. Totally understand your preoccupation with the little guy - you're a great mama. Let us know when he's feeling 100% again? As for the weight loss - any loss is a good loss so congratulations because you deserve it. If you're too tired + busy to celebrate your loss I'll do it for ya! Your goals for this week are great and I can't wait to hear how things are going. xx

  2. Glad you checked in even though it wasn't your best week. A loss is still a loss. I pray your son gets better quick. I know how stressful having a sick child can be. I hope you get some rest and don't get his cold. Take care of yourself.

  7. We can't all be inspiring all the time Denise, that's why it's great to take part in these challenges cause there are others that can do that for you when you can't:-) I hope your son is feeling better and that you are also so that you can get back into some normalcy or a routine again for exercise and such. 1 run is better than none and a pound lost is less than you were so take credit for the good and celebrate that:-)
