5k in 100 days

So tomorrow I'm going to start the 5k in 100 days by Brad Gansberg.  That is assuming he posts the password to get into the first week.  Anyway,  from what I have heard the progression into running is a little easier than the c25k app.  Brad focuses more on fast walking for the first little bit and adding running slowly.  I hope this approach will help me with my knee hurting.  I went out yesterday and bought a band to put around my knee for support.  Only time will tell.

I didn't do the Wii yesterday, but I did go to a local mall that is 1 mile around.  We walked it and only browsed in a few shops.  It wasn't exactly a big workout or anything, but at least  I was a little active yesterday.  I hope to get in more exercise this week.

Well I'm off to get ready for Church.  Have a great day!

  1. Good luck with your training! I never did Couch to 5k or any formalized training when I started running. What helped me the most was getting my heart rate monitor. It really taught me how to run. I thought running meant "run as fast as you can" but it's really not. It's about pacing and staying consistent. Good luck!

  2. Thanks for stopping by. Brad says that while we are starting up to basically jog as slow as you can without actually walking. Today I did the first day and I think my fast walk was actually just as fast as my slow jog but easier on my joints.
